State Treasurer Larry Pack today announced the winning bid amount from the June online firearms auction was $60,492.00 placed from a federal firearm licensed dealer in West Virginia. This was the Office’s second online firearms auction held in 2026, and seventh overall online firearms auction since last year.
More than 15 bids were submitted from licensed dealers spanning across nine states. There were 489 firearms sold from 18 law enforcement agencies across West Virginia that were up for bid.
“Safer communities are crucial to a better West Virginia. That is why we must do everything in our power to support these departments. This online auction was a success in terms of participation both from law enforcement and firearm dealers placing bids, as well as the value we received that will go back to those agencies,” Treasurer Pack said. “My Office is thrilled to return this money to 18 law enforcement agencies across the state and announce a West Virginia federal firearms licensed dealer as the winning bid.”
