Treasurer Pack Attends NAST Conference, Meets With White House Leaders and Congressman Moore in Washington

State Treasurer Larry Pack this week visited Capitol Hill where he attended the 2025 National Association of State Treasurers (NAST) Legislative Conference, met with former State Treasurer and Rep. Riley Moore, and joined the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs team.

“As I continue to travel West Virginia to meet with local and state officials, it’s just as important to have conversations with leaders at the national level about how we can collaborate to move our great state forward,” Treasurer Pack said. “Putting West Virginia first remains my top priority. I am excited to work with President Trump on his vision for West Virginia and the country, as well as work with my fellow Treasurers on issues that matter to our West Virginia citizens.”

On Tuesday, Treasurer Pack met with the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA) team to discuss cyber security and banking issues, as well as how to return funds to individuals through unclaimed property programs. The IGA hosted State Treasurers to provide an overview of the White House’s mission and to provide opportunities for collaboration.

Treasurer Pack also attended State Treasurer training sessions as part of the NAST Conference and met with Rep. Moore to enhance communication on West Virginia-related issues.

“Congressman Moore knows the challenges facing West Virginia, and he was in my position as State Treasurer not too long ago. That’s why it’s imperative to work together to better the lives of West Virginians,” Treasurer Pack said. “I enjoyed networking with other State Treasurers and NAST staff to continue to advocate for my home state.”

The NAST Conference ran from Sunday, March 9 to Tuesday, March 11.
