Online FFL Auction Rules

The West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office will be conducting a closed, one bid auction online. The upcoming auction will contain approximately 113 firearms and 391 pounds of assorted ammo. As one lot. The firearms and ammo description list will be posted on the Treasurer’s web site, as well as a short video showing the firearms. These firearms are sold AS IS. NO GUARANTEES WRITTEN OR IMPLIED. Bids submitted will be for all guns listed/shown. All bids should be emailed to gunauctions@wvsto.com One bid per FFL holder will be accepted. The bids will be reviewed, and the winner notified by email. A bid submission is a binding contract between West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office and the winning bidder. This is strictly enforced. Any deviation from this could result in legal action. The winning bid amount will be posted on the West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office website. The winner will be notified by email. Payment may be submitted prior to the pickup of any firearms. This can be done by certified check, credit card, or EFT. An appointment must be made with Mike Comer at the Security Division, mike.comer@wvsto.com arranging pickup for the winning bidder. The winner should pick these up by March 10, 2025. The payment must be received by or during the date of the firearms pick up. Firearms will need to be picked up during business hours. The winning bidder may elect to send designees to pick up these firearms. This person(s) must have their driver’s license or other official government photo identification, as well as a letter of authorization from licensed dealer to ensure legal possession. Firearms will not be shipped under any circumstance. Failure to comply with the rules set forth will result in the forfeiture of the firearms and they will be awarded to the next highest bidder.
